New Build planting plan

Lots of planning at this time of year! I have just completed a planting plan for a new build garden in Worcestor Park. New build gardens nearly always tend to be furnished with a certain amount of utility paving, and little else except a lawn from fence to fence. Perhaps a token tree! Of course it is up to the owner to create the garden of their choice.

The owner of the garden below is keen to cover the the fences, and has given me a brief to incorporate classic roses, shrubs and clematis, and a feature tree in a corner. Whilst retaining a good amount of lawn for his grandchildren to play on, I have shaped the lawn, re-designed the paving near the gate, and created a planting scheme to give year round interest. Dwarf or well behaved shrubs are ideal – the last thing we want is big fast growing shrubs quickly out-growing the space. All that is left to do is decide on the new paving choice – which would be an optional extra.

I look forward to seeing this garden being completed. One of the lovely things is that once the garden is planted up, lots of wildlife such as bees and butterflies will move in.
