The paving choice here takes on an attractive new look when wet. It ties in with the flooring in the kitchen, which leads directly to the garden through concertina doors. The garden design uses straight clean lines, and the raised beds with rendered and painted walls are planted with smart box and Photinia hedging.

 

The sunken seating area is decked in hardwood, and the same wood is used for a screen above the fence. The sofa-style furniture is the essential feature of this outdoor room, perfect for entertaining, brought alive by lighting at night.
