decking in
ashtead

Brief

The brief for this new build garden was to provide a generous sized decking area for dining and relaxing, overlooking a contemporary water feature. Also trees were required to screen the houses nearby.

Design and outcome

A softwood deck in a rectangular shape was chosen to be the main sitting and dining area.

A steel contemporary water feature is surrounded by planting it is a focal point from both the house and the deck.

The trees chosen for screening were birch and cherry, which are deciduous but provide much interest throughout the seasons and are less heavy than evergreens.

The planting and landscaping transform this empty new build garden into a relaxing space which also looks good from the inside out...

'We love our new garden. Nancy provided a planting plan and we really enjoyed carrying out the planting ourselves'
