Luciano Giubbilei inspired garden

Yesterday we carried out a survey (among the snowflakes!) in a garden which has as the brief, a structural,  minimalist contemporary style. My client had already sent me a ‘mood board’ of gardens and plants that she liked, which was very helpful, and while we were doing the survey, I also gave her my own collection of contemporary pics to leaf through.

The Luciano Giubbilei ‘Laurent Perrier’ garden for the 2011 Chelsea flower show proved to be a great inspiration. His trademark use of Yew and box hedging, with pleached hornbeams, make for a very stylish and restful composition. The water feature below, in this case made of Portland stone, can also be adapted to be a part of this garden.
